renCal for Omarchy

renCal is a free, open-source calendar app built to be Omarchy-first.
It supports Google Calendar, iCloud, Outlook and CalDAV, adapts to your Omarchy theme, and is fast and keyboard-driven.

Install renCal on Omarchy

renCal is available on the AUR, and can be installed with one command:

yay -S rencal-bin

Matches your Omarchy theme

Pick the "Omarchy" theme in renCal's settings and the app re-colors itself whenever you change your Omarchy theme, so the calendar always looks like it belongs next to your terminal and editor.

renCal also ships with popular themes like Tokyo Night, Catppuccin and Gruvbox, and you can drop your own CSS file into ~/.config/rencal/themes/.

Build your own theme or read the theme docs.

Upcoming events in the Omarchy bar

The Caldir widget for Omarchy puts your next event in the Omarchy bar. It highlights the meeting that is coming up, joins video calls with one click, and opens events directly in renCal. Install it as an Omarchy plugin:

omarchy plugin add https://github.com/t4t5/omarchy-caldir-widget --enable

See the widget docs for shortcuts and settings.

Keyboard-first, like the rest of Omarchy

Move between days and weeks with Vim motions (h j k l), jump to today with t, search with / and compose a new event with c. Type events the way you would say them, like "lunch with Sarah tomorrow at 1" or "team sync every Monday", and renCal fills in the dates and times. Press ? in the app for the full list of keyboard shortcuts.

Your calendars, synced and on disk

Connect Google Calendar, iCloud, Outlook or any CalDAV server and renCal keeps them in two-way sync. Every event is stored as a standard .ics file in ~/caldir/, so your calendar works offline and can be searched with grep, versioned with git, scripted from the shell, or handed to an agent like Claude Code.

Free and open-source

renCal is MIT-licensed and built in the open. No subscriptions, no lock-in, and your data never leaves your machine unless you sync it.
